Starting a Home Hemo Program

To supplement the Open-Source Practical Manual for Home Hemodialysis that the Global Forum for Home Hemodialysis has created (see https://nwrnbulletins.wordpress.com/2015/05/01/practical-manual-for-home-hemodialysis/ ), the International Society for Hemodialysis has built a website that presents the same material.  Find it at http://home-hemodialysis.com/ .  The Practical Manual and website present an international consensus on how to create a new home hemodialysis program.  Chapters on the website include The Home HD Hub, Funding and Planning, Workforce Development, Cultivating Suitable Patients, Patient Safety, Patient Selection and Training, Vascular Access, Infrastructure-Water-Machines, Prescriptions, and Psychosocial Aspects.  For an introduction to the overall project, see http://homedialysis.org/news-and-research/blog/108-an-open-source-practical-manual-for-home-hemodialysis .
