AAKP HealthLine will present a webinar on Understanding the Effects of High Potassium in Kidney Disease on April 26, 2016. People with kidney disease are at an increased risk of developing hyperkalemia (high levels of potassium in the blood), because their kidneys are not properly removing the excess potassium. Unfortunately this condition is not widely understood by patients even though it can cause sudden death. This webinar will present signs and symptoms of hyperkalemia, long-term management and current treatment options, and how diet and nutrition can play an important role. Note that the webinar is supported by an educational grant from Relypsa Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
We apologize for the late notice; after the webinar is over, a recording of it will be placed at https://www.aakp.org/media-files/aakp-healthline.html .
