History of Dialysis

If you’ve been around dialysis for a long time, you know of Chris Blagg.  He worked with Dr. Belding Scribner to basically invent modern kidney dialysis.  Dr. Blagg has recently published a new book, From Miracle to Mainstream: Creating the World’s First Dialysis Organization, relating his first-hand knowledge of the clinical and political history of the first half-century of kidney dialysis in the US, including extensive documentation about the advocacy that led to the 1972 landmark legislation establishing the ESRD program within Medicare.  Find a video preview at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ig88oObeX3Y .  The book is available now from booksellers.
